What to tell us in your first message
The clearer your message, the more precise our first answer.
- The procedure you need — or your situation, if you are not sure which one applies.
- Your nationality and your current residence type, if you have one.
- Any relevant date: an expiry, a booked appointment, a deadline.
Which channel for what

Questions about contacting us
When do you reply?
During working hours. If you write outside them, we reply on the next working day.
Which language should I write in?
Arabic or English. We also follow up in Turkish, and we deal with the Turkish offices ourselves.
Do I need an appointment to visit?
No, but if you message us first we will have your answer ready.
Which days and hours is the office open?
The days and the hours are on the office card on this page. If your case needs sitting down and reading papers, come well before closing time.
What should I bring if I drop by?
Your passport or ID, and any official document connected to your situation: a previous residence card, an earlier decision, a booked appointment. If you have nothing with you, come and ask anyway — we tell you what to bring before you prepare a single document or pay anything.
I am outside Istanbul. Does that work?
Yes. Most procedures are handled remotely, and attending in person is only required for official appointments that need you there.
