Marriage and family reunification

Family unification visa from the Turkish Embassy in Beirut

This is not the broad “family reunification” page but one specific route: a visa issued by the Turkish Embassy in Beirut for cases where a member of the family holds Turkish citizenship. The route is a chain: registering the marriage, then an ordered file, then security clearance to enter Lebanon, then the appointment. If one link is missing, nothing after it works — so we start by establishing which link you are standing on, not with a generic list of papers.

What is hard for you, we can manage — God willing

Who is this service for?

  • A member of your family holds Turkish citizenship and you want to bring the family together through a lawful route, on a visa issued in Beirut.
  • Your marriage to a Turkish citizen is registered and you have reached the stage of applying for the visa, not the stage of registering the marriage.
  • You are still inside Syria and do not know how to reach the appointment at all: the journey, and the security clearance to enter Lebanon.
  • You prepared your own file and it was turned back on a formal ground, and you want to read the reason before applying again.
  • You live in Türkiye and your family is in Syria, and you want to know from the outset whether the condition is met in your case, before preparing a single document.

What we do

  • We establish first which link you are standing on: is the condition met? Is the marriage registered? Can the applicant reach Beirut? The plan starts here, not with the papers.
  • We prepare the file from scratch and order it the way the receiving authority requires: documents, sworn translation, certification, and names that match from one document to the next.
  • We arrange the journey: a car from your door, wherever you are in Syria, to your appointment in Beirut and back.
  • We prepare the request for security clearance to enter Lebanon and follow it until a decision is issued on it.
  • We check the file document by document before the journey, because what stops these files is usually a formal reason that can be caught here rather than there.
  • We arrange visa stamping in absentia where the circumstances of the file allow it — and we tell you from the start whether yours does.
  • We follow through until the decision, then explain what it means and what the next step after it is.

And what we do not do

  • The visa decision belongs to the Turkish mission alone. We do not interfere with it, we promise no guaranteed outcome, and we do not sell an “approval”.
  • We cannot soften the Turkish citizenship condition. If no member of the family holds it, there is no file for us to open on this route, and we say so in the first call.
  • We do not grant the security clearance to enter Lebanon. We prepare the request and follow it; the decision belongs to the competent authority.
  • Stamping in absentia is not possible in every file. It is conditional, and if your case does not allow it we tell you before you pay, not after you travel.
  • We do not promise a duration. What we can tell you: which step is in our hands and where it stands, and which step follows another authority.
  • We do not alter information in a document and we do not obtain a document by any route other than its official one, whatever the reason.

Documents required for the family visa

This is the core list for most cases. Tick them off as you gather your papers — you can print this page and take it with you.

What you tick stays in your browser. Nothing is sent until you press the button.

Why do we ask exactly where the applicant is, and about any earlier decision? Because those two questions settle two things that appear on no list of papers: where the car sets out from and how much arranging the journey needs, and whether an old record could stop the file at the appointment, after its owner has already travelled. Knowing both now costs less than discovering them there. The exact list is written once we have seen your documents, not before.

How the procedure runs for the family visa

  1. We check the condition before any document

The first question is not “which papers?” but: does a member of the family hold Turkish citizenship, and what is the relationship between you. If the condition is not met, this route is not yours and we will tell you plainly.

our partWhatsApp or at the office

  2. Registering the marriage in the Turkish register

The application rests on a registered relationship. If the marriage is not registered yet, that is the earlier link and it cannot be skipped; applying before it means a file that reads as having no family tie.

    the authority’s part

  3. Preparing the file from scratch

We gather the documents, coordinate the sworn translation and certification, and match the spelling of names and dates across the documents and the application before the file leaves our hands.

your partDepends on how complete your documents are

  4. The request for security clearance to enter Lebanon

We prepare the request and follow it. We start it early rather than in the last week, because a sound file is worth nothing if its owner cannot reach the appointment.

    the authority’s part

  5. Getting to the appointment

A car from your door, wherever you are in Syria, to Beirut and back. And if the circumstances of your file allow stamping in absentia, we arrange it and spare you the journey altogether.

our partDepends on where you are and the road

  6. Following through to the decision

We follow the state of the application and tell you of any development. When the decision is issued we explain what it means, and what begins after it inside Türkiye.

Cost: we separate what is paid to others from our fee

Paid to others

External fees and costs

The visa fee at the mission, sworn translation and certification, and the cost of the journey from where you are to Beirut — all of these are paid to those who charge them and vary with your case, your point of departure and the number of your documents. We write them out item by item before you begin, and we never mix them with our fee.

Paid to us

Our follow-up fee

For establishing which link you are on, preparing and checking the file, coordinating translation and certification, preparing the security clearance request and arranging the journey, and following through to the decision. We tell you the full amount before we begin.

When do you not need us? If the condition is met, the marriage is registered, your papers are complete and the applicant can reach Beirut on their own, then this is a procedure you can complete without an intermediary — and we say so rather than open a file that serves no purpose. Our value shows when one of the links is missing, and the one missing most often is getting there. The first consultation is free whether you continue with us or not.

What usually stops a file

We list these because knowing them before applying is more useful than knowing them after, and because most of them have nothing to do with the decision itself but with a link that comes before it:

The condition is not metNobody in the family holds Turkish citizenship, or the relationship the application rests on is not the registered one. This stops the file before it starts, and learning it in the first call costs less than learning it after the journey.
The marriage is not registered in the Turkish registerA marriage concluded in Syria, or religiously, and never registered: the application then rests on a family tie the receiving authority cannot see in its own record.
The name is written differently across documentsA single letter of difference between the passport, the marriage record and the translation is enough for the documents to be read as belonging to different people.
The security clearance to enter Lebanon is not issuedWithout it the applicant never reaches the appointment at all, so the slot is lost even if the file is entirely sound. That is why we start arranging it early.
An incomplete or inconsistent fileAn expired document, a translation that is not sworn, missing certification, or information in the application that does not match the document. These are the most avoidable reasons of all, and every one of them surfaces before the journey.
An earlier breach or decisionAn overstay on a previous visa, or an old entry ban, shows up when the file is examined. Tell us from the start; hiding it from us does not hide it from the issuing authority.

The visa decision belongs to the mission alone, and neither we nor anyone else has a way of influencing it. What we do have is the ability to remove from the file every avoidable reason, to explain the decision to you whatever it is, and to set out whether another route remains open to you.

Questions people ask about the family visa

How is this different from your “family reunification invitation” page?
That page is about a broad name; this one is about a single visa. In everyday use “family reunification” covers several routes: family residence inside Türkiye, a notarised invitation submitted to another country's consulate, or registry matters between provinces. Here it is one specific thing: a visa issued by the Turkish Embassy in Beirut, marked as family unification, conditional on a member of the family holding Turkish citizenship. If you are not sure which one applies to you, start from the family reunification page and we will establish it with you.
I am in Syria — how do I even reach the appointment?
This is the link where most files fail, and it is work rather than talk. We arrange a car from your door, wherever you are in Syria, to your appointment in Beirut and back, and we prepare the request for security clearance to enter Lebanon and follow it. The clearance itself is issued by the competent authority, not by us, which is why we start arranging it early: a sound file is worth nothing if its owner cannot arrive.
Is “visa stamping in absentia” available to everyone?
No. It is available where the circumstances of the file allow it, and it is not an option you buy. We tell you at the first reading of your file whether your case allows it, and we do not build your plan on it before we are sure. Anyone who promises it before seeing your file is promising something they do not know themselves.
My spouse is Turkish but the marriage is not registered yet — do we start with the visa?
No, that is an earlier link and it cannot be skipped. The application rests on a registered relationship; as long as the marriage is not registered in the Turkish register, the receiving authority sees no family tie at all. The natural order is: register the marriage, then hand over the papers, then apply for the visa. We tell you which link you are standing on before you prepare a single document.
A relative of mine holds Turkish citizenship — is that enough?
The condition is not simply that a relative holds citizenship, but that the relationship the application rests on is registered and accepted. A spouse and children are not the same as more distant relatives, and the matter is read from the register rather than from the relationship as we know it among ourselves. Send us the relationship and what proves it, and we will tell you whether this route is yours or whether another one fits you better.
What kind of visa is issued on this route?
A visa marked “Aile Birleşimi / Family Unification” and “Tek Giriş / Single Entry”, issued by the Turkish Embassy in Beirut (T.C. Beyrut BE). Single entry means it is used up on the first entry, and what comes after the entry is a separate file inside Türkiye: the residence permit. We say this early because planning for what follows the entry is part of the plan, not something left until afterwards.
How long does it take, and why do you not give a number?
Because the largest part of the duration is not in our hands, and any number printed here would be someone else's number, not yours. The duration follows links we do not control: when the marriage is registered, when the security clearance is issued, and which appointment the mission has free. What we do tell you precisely: which step is in our hands and where it stands, and which step follows another authority and when we chase it. Anyone who gives you a number of days before seeing your file is selling you reassurance, not information.

Registering a marriage at the Turkish consulate in JordanThis route has one condition we cannot soften: one of the spouses must hold Turkish citizenship. Where it holds, the marriage is registered with the Turkish mission in Amman and a marriage record document is issued, usually without either spouse travelling. Where it does not hold, your route is a different one — registering the marriage inside Türkiye at the civil registry — and we say so in the first message, not after you have paid.Family reunification invitation“Family reunification” is one name for several routes, and what separates them is not the papers but the authority that receives them: the migration office inside Türkiye, or another country's consulate. A Syrian document is not read as it stands by either — Syria is not a party to the Apostille Convention, so certification runs through a chain of authorities rather than a single stamp. So we start from both parties' status and from the receiving authority, then prepare what is genuinely required rather than what is usually assumed.Residence permit in TürkiyeWhat stops most files is not the law but a missing document, or an application filed under a permit type that does not fit the case. So we start from your situation: which route is yours, what you actually need, and what gets checked before the appointment rather than after — then we follow it until the decision, and through to the card if it is approved.Registering a Turkish marriageWhat stops most marriage registration files is not a refusal but a document belonging to the other party: a civil record that still says “married”, an out-of-date certificate of no impediment, or a translation without notarisation. The registry reads the two situations together, not only the situation of whoever came to the office. So we start by reading both records before you prepare a single document, then arrange what the file actually needs — including the health report, which no one is exempt from — and follow it through until the family book is issued.

Not sure which link you are standing on?

Send us three lines: who in your family holds Turkish citizenship, whether the marriage is registered, and where the applicant is now. We will tell you which link is in front of you. And if this route is not possible in your case, we will tell you honestly, and we will not charge you for that answer.
